Water WHAT IS WATER? Water is a liquid that we all drink. There are so many different types of water. For example there are Fresh water Salt water WHAT HAPPENS TO WATER WHEN IT FREEZES? Well, when you freeze water it becomes a solid (ice). But when you heat a piece of ice it is reversible and it will turn back to water.  It is reversible because when you heat ice it will become water. SINCE A SOLID CAN COME OUT WATER, CAN GAS COME OUT TOO? Now we all know that water is a liquid and ice is a solid, but there can be a Gas to. That gas is called STEAM. When you boil or heat up water it will turn into steam. When steam is made it is irreversible, so that means that the steam can’t become water again. It is irreversible because when water turn into steam it will go into air and vanish, because it is like air.

LEAD WHAT IS LEAD??? lead is a soft, heavy,  bluish-grey metal. WHAT STATE OF MATTER IS IT???Lead is a solid. This is because it can maintain it’s shape without interference. If lead is melted it becomes a liquid. If you leave lead it will set and change back into a solid. This means that lead is reversible.

Bronze, lead and tin can go from a liquid to a solid. You can do this how ? By melting it. Then you can put it in a mould and make something nice, However when the metal is a liquid it is VERY hot and DANGEROUS and yes it is reversible. Ice can also go from a liquid to a solid. This can be done by freezing it. When it comes out of the freezer it is VERY cold so you can put it in a yummy drink on a hot summer day, Oh and yes it can be reversible.

WHAT IS OIL?? it is a liquid that we use for making fires, starting cars and for machines. And you can freeze it to make it a solid. And if burn it a explosion happens and it makes steam. So it is reversible. But some oil isn’t. 

water: water is something we drink but it can be frozen into ice melted back into water and then heated to a certain amount of degrees and can be turned in to a gas or steam. Lakes and rivers can also freeze but not be turned into steam.

STEEL: steel is a hard strong alloy of iron with carbon. steel is the worlds most important engineering and construction material. you can melt steel into molten you can do this by heating it up to 1,510 degrees Celsius. Steel is not reversible.

Mercury-it is a liquid. How does it become a gas-If you heat it up enough the potential energy rises to a point where it can be turned into a gas How goes it become a solid-if you freeze mercury it becomes a solid. DON’T TOUCH IT, IT IS POISENOUS

What Is Water? Water is a liquid that is an every day life thing that we drink. A liquid is something that cant hold its place and they are all drinkable but some are poisonous. What Happens To Water When You Freeze It?                                                            When you freeze water it turns into a solid. It is now called ice, ice is something that we use to put in drinks to make it cold. If you heat it will turn back into water. A solid is something that can keep its place with out being interrupted.                                           What If You Heat It To Much  If its heated to a certain amount of degrees and can be turned in to a gas or steam because steam is made out of heat. Gas and steam is something you can smell sometimes and you can see sometimes gas it used to power thing sometimes steam is made out of heat son for example if you take some thing out of the microwave and you have had it in there for example popcorn there will be steam come out when you open the microwave.

Quartz sand is a material that is used in making glass products. It is heated 1723 degrees Celsius which makes it soft and you can mold it into things e.g jars, cups, plates, ornaments or jewellery. (when it had been melted it reminds me of tree sap) Some other substances are added to it i.e lime which comes from lime stone, magnesium oxide and aluminum oxide to make it easier to work with. After I left the fridge about 3 seconds ago I thought of another substance that can change. Its chocolate, yes chocolate is one of those solids that everybody loves because it is delicious. Chocolate can be melted through a microwave, and oven, a stove, the sun or even your hands. It can be molded into many shapes and there are some different molds of chocolates in chocolate cafes. When heated it turns to liquid but if you leave it for a long time it will cool down and turn back to a solid.

Felicity  state of matter  I explored candle wax  when you light a candle the solid wax melts and becomes a liquid wax due to the heat of the flame on the wick. as the candle gets hotter the liquid  wax evaporates in to  a gas by burning the oxygen  in the air. the gaseous wax stays in e air after you blow the candle out. the liquid wax becomes solid matter after it has cooled down 

Sugar are hard little crystal bits which is a solid, which can be turned into a liquid, when you melt it, it turns into toffee or caramel, which can be made into lollies. The sugar has to be melted on a pan, and a hot temperature on the fire.

WATER: water can come in all different types. Water can come out of taps, bottles, plastics etc.  if you freeze water it turns into ice which is a solid that can turn into a liquid. alex i chose butter butter can be a solid and liquid because it can be melted when near heat and it can be frozen or just hard when in the fridge or in the cool weather. If the butter is melted it can be turn back to hard.

I choose ice  ice can be melted in it turns into water, it can become a solid and be ice and it can also be boiled into steam witch can boil food for example pasta or veggies. this is all reversible. 

What is Graphite? Graphite is a solid that is commonly found in a pencil. Graphite can be a powder. Graphite has a higher melting point that dimond, so graphite can be a liquid. You can change the shape of graphite if you melt it and reshape it.
